About Our Staff
Our staff includes teachers, a chef, administrators and substitute teachers. Each teacher has a minimum of 12 ECE units and/or Montessori training, or an AA or BA. Each of our staff members have been CPR and First Aid Trained. Our school chef prepares homemade meals in the kitchen daily using processed foods minimally. We puree fruits and vegetables and freeze them for our infants as well. We serve breakfast, lunch and two snacks daily. We believe in nutrition for a happy, healthy child. As the children get older, we also believe in serving meals and snack family style. This gives the child the opportunity to serve themselves their snacks and their meals. It teaches them independence, manners and responsibility.
Brenda Jacobson
Educational Adminstrator

Brenda Jacobson is the Educational Administrator for Montessori in the City. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development from California State University, Sacramento. She is also Montessori Certified in ages 0-3 from the San Francisco Bay Area Montessori Teacher Education Center. Brenda has been at Lincoln Plaza since 1993. She started as an assistant teacher and worked very hard to gain a greater understanding and love for the Montessori philosophy. She feels as though Lincoln Plaza Montessori is her second home and that all the children here are her children too. She feels as though her heart could be no where else but here at Lincoln Plaza Montessori.
Kristen Miller
Business Administrator

Kristen Miller is the Business Administrator for Montessori in the City. She has a Bachelor of Art degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Sacramento. Kristen came to Lincoln Plaza Montessori in 1997 with several years experience in Montessori education and also in book keeping and office administration. Kristen started at this school as a teacher’s assistant, and has truly developed a love and respect for the children, families here at Lincoln Plaza Montessori. She feels very passionate about early childhood education and feels that parents and teachers work together to create an enriching and loving environment for children. She is married and has two children of her own. She feels privileged to be a part of the Lincoln Plaza Montessori family.
